Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 50. Nationally and locally 75% of those that die by suicide are men, with the highest numbers being 45-54 years of age. In Cheshire & Merseyside approximately 150 local men take their own lives every year. This is a tragedy for the person and for all those bereaved.<\/p><\/div>
Cheshire & Merseyside has some of the most deprived areas of the country where residents face many challenges, and we know that men living in the most deprived areas are up to ten times more at risk of suicide than those living in more affluent areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our Vision is that \u2018people don\u2019t see suicide as a solution to the difficulties they face\u2019<\/em>.
